About Our Club

What is Rotary?

Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary’s people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.

About Our Club

Serving our community since 1976

The Rotary Club of Barrie – Huronia is one of three Rotary Clubs in the City of Barrie. It was first organized by the Rotary Club of Barrie in1976. Starting with a membership of 25 we have since grown to over 80 members. Over the past forty-one years we have completed many projects and addressed many individual needs. Two of our most visible projects include Rotary House and Cancer Center at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Center and the Gryphon Theatre, classroom facilities and scholarships at Georgian College. We are a team united by our shared interest to help our community and we have fun doing it!
