At Rotary, we believe in empowering community members and organizations by providing financial support to initiatives that have a meaningful and lasting impact. Each year, our Community Services Committee allocates funding to projects that help improve the lives of those in Barrie and surrounding areas.
In alignment with Rotary’s global mission of service above self, we focus on supporting:

We take great care in evaluating each funding request to ensure our support creates a positive, lasting impact. However, we encourage all applicants to explore and exhaust available government and local agency support specific to the circumstance or project as the first step prior to seeking Rotary funding so that we can allocate needs accordingly (ie: a ‘top-up’ basis, supplementary, shared, etc.)
If your project or personal circumstance aligns with our mission and meets the criteria outlined, we invite you to submit an online application for review. Rest assured, all information shared is held in strict confidence and will be discussed only among committee members during formal meetings.
Before completing your application, here are four tips to help you present a strong case for funding:
Ensure that all government programs and local agencies offering support have been explored before applying.
Provide clear details about your project or circumstances, including how the funding will be used and the intended outcomes.
Highlight any efforts your group or yourself have already made, including contributions before, during, and after this request.
Support your request with relevant documents that validate your need for funding and how it aligns with our criteria.
Online application funding requests up to a maximum of $5000.
For funding requests greater than $5000, please contact us to send your request details.
